Why Music? Why Now?
A confluence of 4 factors drove me to spend the next few weeks on Music and Entertainment:
- Music is almost a “need” – the demand is virtually inelastic.
- Its “supply chain” will be virtually untouched by the Coronavirus scare.
- Some companies that are dominating certain parts of the Music Value Chain (see below) have all the properties of being Global Dominators, with massive Moats.
- The Buylyst’s collection of Media & Entertainment analyses is getting old and needs a refresh.
The purpose of this worldview is to find investment ideas in the Music Industry.
