We provide easily executable investment ideas in public companies that are changing our world. Our ideas are carefully vetted through the timeless lens of Intelligent Investing – the set of principles espoused by Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger and Benjamin Graham.
All investment ideas are presented in a clear, concise and intuitive format – via magazine-style articles, snapshot rationales, and easy-to-understand valuation models, all accessible through a definitive Buy List of investment ideas.
Who runs The Buylyst?
We’re a team of experienced Investment Professionals spanning a wide spectrum of asset classes and geographies. Our mix of experience is truly unique, and hard to find anywhere else. Our Team is a lean, mean, investing machine; we live, breathe, eat and sleep Investing. Here we are, check us out!
How much does it cost?
Not much, especially for the value we provide. Buffett once said, “Price is what you pay; value is what you get". In our professional estimate (we are valuation experts, after all), the value of The Buylyst far exceeds its price. We keep our prices as low as possible – cheaper than many newspapers, magazines, and certainly a lot cheaper than research competitors.

Does The Buylyst offer tailored investment solutions?
No.
Our logic is clear: This is where we invest our money, and we're clear about how and why we do it. And we think our ideas and our research will be massively beneficial to you.
Is The Buylyst a brokerage firm?
No.
We don’t run any brokerage businesses. We don’t recommend affiliate products. We have no affiliated companies. We have no relationship with the companies in which we invest. We don’t make markets. We don’t earn commissions of any kind.
Our primary source of income is subscription fees from our users. No hidden fees. It's very simple.
Does The Buylyst invest its own money into the investment ideas?
Yes.
Founder, Saurav Sen, has a significant majority of his assets invested in The Buy List.
Does The Buylyst invest in stocks?
Yes.
At the moment, we invest only in stocks. We like to say we invest in companies – stocks are merely a conduit. Over time, we may expand to bonds and derivatives.
What is The Buylyst's Investment Style?
Our style is best captured by the timeless principles of Intelligent Investing, made famous by Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. We are big believers in not overpaying for assets - what those stalwarts call "Margin of Safety". That's our style in a nutshell. Consultants, Advisors, and Wall Street in general like to put investment managers in different style buckets. We refuse to be boxed in. In fact, we take Warren Buffet's quip about "investment styles" very seriously, and follow his example:
"Fund consultants like to require style boxes such as 'long-short', 'macro', 'international equities'. At Berkshire our only style box is 'smart'.”
In which sectors does The Buylyst invest?
We don’t think in terms of sectors as they are traditionally defined in the investment industry. But we do think in terms of Themes that represent progress in our civilization. Ultimately, we are heavily invested in Progress.

Does The Buylyst invest in International stocks?
Yes.
A significant chunk of The Buy List is invested in Non-US stocks. The Buylyst invests all over the world. We have no geographical constraints. But we avoid countries with political risks we don’t understand.
Does The Buylyst invest in bonds?
No.
But we hope to someday. Our team has expertise in bonds as well.
