The Buylyst is NOT a Financial Advisor.
The Buylyst will never advise you on what to do with your money. We have no idea about your financial situation and your specific financial goals. But we are almost certain that you too want Financial Freedom. They Buylyst is our ride to Financial Freedom. It can be yours too. But that’s a choice only you can make. Any research published in The Buylyst is research we’ve done for ourselves. The Buy List is what we’re doing with our money. We’ve put the list and the accompanying research out there, so it can help you. It may be an ideas-pipeline for you; or not. How you use the list is entirely up to you.
The Buylyst is NOT an Asset Manager.
We don’t take custody of your money. What you do with your money is your prerogative, and we have no way to monitor or guide that process. You pay us a subscription fee for our content, which we hope you will find useful. That’s the only financial transaction between us. Beyond that, we are happy to clarify questions about our content if something is unclear and difficult to understand. But we’re not here to take control of your savings. We’re here to help you become a better investor – An Intelligent Investor.
The Buylyst is NOT a Broker.
We don’t make any money if you buy or sell any asset based on our research. We don’t get any commissions from anywhere. We don’t have paid sponsors. We don’t make money from your brokers; we don’t know who they are. And to shatter any illusion of “front-running”, we hold-off for at least 2 market-days before we act (buy or sell) on research that we publish on The Buylyst. There is no hidden agenda here – we’re in the business of providing good content. That’s all. Incentives are aligned because we’re invested in our Buy List, literally.
The Buylyst is NOT a Soothsayer.
We don’t guarantee any financial results because, frankly, we don’t know what the future holds. Nobody does. We don’t know with certainty where the market’s heading, where the economy is going, or whether a particular stock or bond will go up or down. Again, nobody does; anybody who claims otherwise is lying or doing something illegal. We make bets where we think we have an “asymmetric payoff” – higher probability of gains than of losses. That’s the best we can do. And even then, we will be wrong from time to time. We hope not, because our hard-earned money is on the line. But we will be; even the giants of investing are wrong from time to time.
Please invest responsibly.
